Questions to ask any AI visibility provider

Before committing to any product in this category, it is worth understanding how the underlying mechanics work and what happens if those mechanics change.

Does it fix your website, or just work around it?
A brand with low citability scores on its own pages won't get consistent AI citations no matter how many external mentions are planted. The website is the foundation. Ignore it and you're building on sand.

Is the methodology platform-compliant?
Some providers post brand content via third-party managed accounts, a practice that violates most platform terms of service. If those placements get removed, your investment goes with them. Ask exactly how placements are made.

Can it detect when AI says something wrong about you?
AI models can recommend your brand with incorrect information: wrong location, wrong pricing, wrong services. If your visibility tool doesn't flag hallucinations, you're amplifying inaccurate citations without knowing it.
